Applications are sought for the following position:
Groundsman
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, responsibilities include general ground/garden keeping duties and some maintenance tasks.
This is a Full Time position based at our Reedy Creek Campus, Monday to Friday 7am - 3pm.
Duties & Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Ensuring all trade tasks (carpentry and basic plumbing ) assigned are completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain gardens, grounds (all other landscaped areas) using manual tools and machinery provided. This could also includes line marking & sports field preparation. To be part of the team when doing landscape projects to enhance the campus.
- 鈥淔ront of school鈥� defined as area鈥檚 the parents see every day, to be maintained to a high standard and given the highest priority.
- When required, a groundsman is required to bump in & bump out events and any other manual tasks required by the school, instructed by the Facilities Manager
- A groundsman is required to follow best practice on ways of working Safely as per Australian Standards at all times.
- Identify any hazards and unsafe conditions within the school property.
Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Landscaping, Gardens & Grounds or similar type certification and/or hands on experience working with carpenters preferred.
- Physical attributes : Capable of doing outdoor work through all seasons and have the physical attributes do manual work for the majority of a day if required.
- Work independently and as a Team.

- at least 2 recent professional referees
- at least 1 referee who can attest to your suitability to work within the values and culture of an expanding Christian school (preferably from a pastor or minister).

Our PIMPAMA CAMPUS (on the northern end of the Gold Coast) currently has over 2000 students on-site, from Early Learning to Year 12.
King鈥檚 LOGAN VILLAGE CAMPUS (in south-west Logan) currently has over 1000 students on-site, offering places for students from Early Learning through to High School.
