Future Pathways / VET Coordinator

King’s Christian College, Logan Village Campus, is seeking a passionate and organised Future Pathways / Vocational Education (VET) Coordinator to lead and develop programs that support students in exploring meaningful post-school pathways.

This is a Full Time (Term Time) Position.

This role is ideal for an educator or professional who is committed to helping students connect their learning with real-world opportunities, including vocational education, apprenticeships, further study, and employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with industry, training organisations, and local businesses
  • Support students in identifying and pursuing career pathways aligned with their strengths and interests
  • Provide guidance on school-based apprenticeships and traineeships
  • Manage student placements, work experience, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to embed career education across the curriculum
  • Organise and promote career events, expos, and information sessions
  • Track and report on student pathway outcomes

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A passion for supporting young people in their transition beyond school
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to build and sustain partnerships with external stakeholders
  • Experience in VET, careers counselling, or student pathways (preferred)
  • Knowledge of relevant compliance and reporting requirements (desirable)
  • A current teaching qualification and registration

Your curriculum vitae should include details for;

  • at least 2 recent professional referees
  • at least 1 referee who can attest to your suitability to work within the values and culture of an expanding Christian school (preferably from a pastor or minister).

The REEDY CREEK CAMPUS (on the southern end of the Gold Coast) has more than 2600 students on-site, from Early Learning through to Year 12. This campus also includes a Trade Training College.

Our PIMPAMA CAMPUS (on the northern end of the Gold Coast) currently has over 2000 students on-site, from Early Learning to Year 12.

King’s LOGAN VILLAGE CAMPUS (in south-west Logan) currently has over 1000 students on-site, offering places for students from Early Learning through to High School.
