Administration Officer (Sports Department)

This is a Full Time (Term Time) position.

Are you highly organised, efficient, and passionate about supporting young people to thrive through sport?
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Administration Officer to support our Sports Department in delivering a high-quality program for our students.

About the Role

As the Administration Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the Sports Department. You’ll support the Head of Sport and PE staff with day-to-day administrative tasks, coordination of events, communication with stakeholders, and management of systems and logistics.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily administrative support to the Head of Sport and PE staff.
  • Coordinate fixtures, transport, and logistics for school teams and sporting events.
  • Manage equipment inventories, ordering and maintenance.
  • Liaise with external organisations, visiting schools, and coaches.
  • Communicate with staff, students, and parents regarding sports activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student participation and sporting achievements.
  • Assist in the production of newsletters, social media updates, website content, and reports.
  • Schedule meetings, training sessions, and events.
  • Collate and manage information related to:

    • Sporting events and fixtures
    • Sporting teams and training schedules
    • Coaches and external providers


Essential Criteria

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Word and Excel)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
  • Friendly, professional, and approachable manner with students, staff, and families
  • Initiative and creative problem-solving skills
  • Current Working with Children’s Check


Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Qualification in Business Administration
  • Experience in a school or sports administration setting
  • Content creation or management experience (social media, newsletters, etc.)

  • at least 2 recent professional referees (including your current employer)
  • at least 1 referee who can attest to your suitability to work within the values and culture of an expanding Christian school (preferably from a pastor or minister).
